Wiz Kid signed to Akon's Konvict Muzik Label

Wiz Kid whose real name is Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun is one of the latest of a crop talented young Artistes to hit the Naija music scene and international charts. His hit singles 'Don't Dull Pakurumo and Tease Me have been absolutely banging it on the Dance floors and club circuits from Lagos to London and NewYork.

Wiz Kid who is currently 20 years old started off his singing career at the early age of 11 in church under the name "Lil Prinz" but later rebranded in 2006 from being an inspirational church act to a secular artist with his present stage name . His break through came in the industry came in 2010 when he released the hit singles Holla at ur Boy, Tease me, and Don’t dull from his Latest Album aptly named 'Super Star'.

In August 2011 he was nominated for a MOBO Award alongside Nigerian super star Dbanj, and Seun Kuti in the Best African Act Category, following on from this sucess in December 2011 he was signed to the Konvict Muzik Record label of international producer and singer Akon alongside top Nigerian artistes Tuface and P-square.

Notoriety
Nowadays it seems this tends to follow most stars around and Wiz Kid seems to be getting his fair share,despite his relatively young age there have been quite a lot of talk about Wiz Kids reputation for heavily partying, drinking and some serious womanising, sometimes with women a lot older than him. It has also been recently reported that he is expected his first child from a young lady known as Sola who is an undergraduate studying at a private University in Accra Ghana. There was also a recently uncomfimed rumour of the young man being detained in Scotland for alleged drug related offences although this has been promptly denied by his camp and his mentor Banky W publicly on twitter.

Lets hope fatherhood gives him some grounding and a serious sense of focus to help him continue to shine in his career the list of stars ruined by their excesses is exceedingly long and we sincerely hope he does not become one.

Meanwhile the latest news is that Wiz Kid will be on Tour in London and other part of the Uk in the coming months and if you do decide to come down look out for me in the crowd I'll be the one with the long red weave.....Joke.
